International Student Exchanges: Ubuntu Exposure
Ubuntu Exposure is a new student exchange program of the Ubuntu Institute. It has both inbound and outbound programs.
The inbound program brings international students (mostly from the USA) to work on service learning opportunities in Southern Africa, focusing on HIV/AIDS, economic development and poverty eradication, gender and women empowerment, environmental projects and leadership development projects. The Ubuntu Institute outbound program focuses on sending South African students abroad for learning / internship and study abroad opportunities.
The mission is to ensure that South Africa students also benefit from international exposure, reversing the trend of “one-way” student exchange programs that bring in international students/faculty to South Africa but do not send South Africans abroad. Click here to read more.
